While my partner and I were driving home to Camooweal from Mount Isa, we spotted this strange, sausage-shaped object in the sky. It looked to be about a foot long and had a bunch of green lights along with one really bright white light. Curious, we pulled over to get a better look. We stood there by the car, just staring at this thing for a good five minutes. It hovered there, almost like it was checking us out too. Then, out of nowhere, it just shot off. It shrank down to a pinhead in literally one second before disappearing completely, heading towards the Gulf, somewhere between Darwin and Normanton.
