Recently, I acquired a property in Wandering, Western Australia.
Yesterday, while driving with a friend, we found ourselves about 2 kilometers outside of town. As we approached, I spotted something crossing the road ahead. Traveling at 100 kilometers per hour, I quickly slowed down to 80 kilometers per hour, taking roughly 20 seconds to reach the spot.
The sun was setting, casting a fading light on the surroundings. Initially, I mistook the figure for a cow due to its sturdy appearance, but upon closer inspection, it became apparent that it was not. Standing at approximately human height, my friend estimated it to be between 6 to 9 feet tall. I couldn’t discern whether it was on all fours or standing upright, as its front limbs seemed elongated.
While my friend observed it standing tall, I perceived it hunched over. The entity was entirely black, though its appearance deviated from typical descriptions of Yowies, with long hair obscuring its face. Its robust build resembled that of a tank, surpassing even the largest individuals I encountered during my time in bodybuilding, weighing over 130 kilograms. Its shoulders seamlessly blended into its head, which appeared elongated.
Its movement was peculiar, swaying through its shoulders in a manner difficult to articulate. Strangest of all was its sudden disappearance, as if evaporating into thin air before reaching the treeline, a phenomenon my friend also noted. There seemed to be no plausible explanation, considering the lack of concealment in the surrounding open paddock flanked by sparse trees on either side of the road.
Upon returning home, I immediately shared the encounter with my parents and conducted online research, leading me to speculate that what I witnessed may have been a Yowie. I wonder if there have been any similar reports in the southeastern region of Perth. Next time, I’ll endeavor to capture photographic evidence of such an intriguing phenomenon, as I am eager to learn more about these elusive creatures.
