I was living alone in a tiny house at Flying Fish Point, looking after my brother’s dog. Initially, I dismissed odd occurrences, like feeling the need to sleep with my back against the wall due to an eerie sensation of being watched. The house had an external bathroom, and I often heard footsteps inside, which I attributed to natural house noises.
However, one night, around 3 am, I was jolted awake by the sound of the front door being unlocked. To my horror, I saw a man entering my house, his presence exuding pure malice. I remained motionless, pretending to be asleep, hoping he would leave without harming me.
After what felt like an eternity, I opened my eyes to find him inches away from my face, staring at me with intense hatred. The encounter left me paralyzed with fear, unsure of what to do next. Eventually, he vanished, leaving me shaken but unharmed.
Terrified, I called emergency services, but found no evidence of a break-in. Despite my ordeal, life seemed to return to normal after that night. However, a month later, a friend recounted a vivid dream in which she protected me from a menacing presence resembling the man I had encountered.
The incident left me shaken, prompting me to reflect on my past encounters with inexplicable phenomena. While I’ve since rationalized the experience, I remain cautious about discussing such matters openly, fearing repercussions.
